Each day balances structured learning, purposeful play, and exploration. Children build foundational skills in literacy, phonics, numeracy, and more through engaging hands-on activities. Our daily routines are thoughtfully designed to build confidence, independence, and school readiness

Play, explore & discover

Purposeful play gives children opportunities to create, explore, problem-solve, and learn alongside their peers. Through learning centres and imaginative play, children develop creativity, curiosity, communication, and important social skills.

Ms. Ashley

Ms. Ashley is a co-founder and owner of Munchkin Academy and holds a Bachelor of Elementary Education with a Major in Mathematics and holds a Level 3 Child Care Certificate. With many years of teaching experience, she brings a strong educational background and a passion for hands-on, engaging learning to the classroom. Ms. Ashley loves watching her little Munchkins learn, grow, and gain confidence throughout the year. She teaches across all of our programs, preschool, Jr. Kindergarten and Kindergarten, helping children build strong foundations for their next step in education. 

Ms. Carrie

Ms. Carrie is a co-founder and owner of Munchkin Academy and hold a Bachelor of Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies and well as a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and holds a level 3 Child Care Certificate. With many years of teaching experiences, she believes in a hands-on approach that encourages learning though play, peer interactions, and meaningful experiences. Ms. Carrie loves watching children build confidence, develop new skills, and form friendships throughout their time at Munchkin Academy. She teaches across all of our programs, preschool, Jr. Kindergarten and Kindergarten, and is passionate about helping each child reach their full potential

Ms. Faith

Ms. Faith holds a diploma in Early Childhood Education and has a level 3 childcare Certificate. She has been a valued teacher at Munchkin Academy for several year s and in a full-time member of our teaching team. As a full-time member, she brings warmth, enthusiasm, and a passion for early learning to the classroom each day. She loves building meaningful relationships with her students and watching their confidence, independence, and skills grow. Through hands-on learning and purposeful play, Ms. Faith creates a welcoming environment where children feel supported, engaged, and excited to learn

Ms. Candice

Ms. Candice is a new part-time member of the Munchkin Academy team and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, along with a Behavioural Intervention Diploma and her Level 3 Childcare Certificate. Her bubbly, fun personality brings wonderful energy to the classroom. Ms. Candice teaches in our Preschool and Jr. Kindergarten programs, she loves creating positive connections with her students and watching them learn, grow, and gain confidence through meaningful experiences and play.

Ms. Tiffany

Ms. Tiffany in a new part-time member of the Munchkin Academy team and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and a level 3 Childcare certificate. With several years of experience working in preschool programs, she brings valuable knowledge and experience to our classrooms. Her fun, bubbly personality and genuine love for working with children make her a wonderful addition to our team. Ms. Tiffany teaches in our Preschool and Jr. Kindergarten programs, she loves creating positive learning experiences and supporting children as they learn, grow, and build confidence

Every Child Belongs

At Munchkin Academy, we believe every child deserves to feel welcomes, values, and successful in the classroom. We are proud to partner with I’m For Kids Team, an early intervention program that works alongside community preschools to support children with identified developmental needs. Their multidisciplinary team provides individualized strategies and support directly within the child’s familiar classroom environment.

Through our partnership, our educators, families, and the I’m For Kids Team staff, we work together to help children build on their individual strengths and reach their potential. Inclusion is an important part of all Munchkin Academy programs, creating classrooms where children of different can learn, play, build friendships and grow together.
