Government Grant & Subsidy
We are please to announce that we are a part of a new government program which see’s reduced preschool fees for all families attending one of our programs. Each student attending one of our program will receive $75 off preschool fees per month (price is reflected in program information). We also accept government subsidy which could potentially be an extra $125 off school fees. This subsidy is based on household income and is something you as a parent will need to apply for.

PM Kindergarten Program
Ages: 5-6: Kids born in 2018
Our Private Kindergarten program is the perfect way to introduce your child to school in a low ratio setting. Our program has 12 students with 1 teacher.
About Our Program
Our program consists of a variety of fun and interactive learning activities that will help stimulate your child’s
Literacy: From September to January our kiddos will work closely with the Jolly Phonics curriculum to work on knowing all their letter sounds and the first 18, two word letter combinations (“ng”, “oa”, “er” etc) Flash cards will be sent home for home practice! The Kinders will also work on rhyming words, beginning/Ending sounds, syllables, word families and much more! The second half of the year they will be introduced to our home reading program where they will be given levelled readers to read at home!
Math: Students will work on patterns, number identification, counting, skip counting, printing numbers, graphing, etc. They will get to work with math manipulative as well as worksheets.
Art: The kinder students will do a craft or guided drawing each day they attend school.
Other: Students will get to participate in free play which encourages social skills, turn taking, peer interaction and creative play.

Curriculums:
At Munchkin Academy we will be following the FunShine Express Fireflies curriculum as well as incorporating the Jolly Phonics program as an extra, fun and interactive way to introduce literacy. The FunShine Express Fireflies curriculum is designed to meet all the Preschool standards and developmental needs of the children through open-ended activities, multi sensory experiences and exploration and discovery. “Research shows that children learn by doing, and they need many opportunities to explore and grow.
